Cortez Farmers Market

Dear Customers, Support Group, Vendors, Musicians and Volunteers -

The Cortez Farmerís Market management team wants to take a moment to thank the many contributors that make our Market, well, some have said ďitís the best farmerís market theyíve ever been toĒ!! This was our 45th year! And some of our Amazing Vendors are of the original group!!

We want to thank all of you dedicated and gifted vendors for working so hard all week to bring us your delicious local grown fruits and vegetables, local grown pasture fed meats, amazing and one-of-a-kind works of art, scrumptious prepared food and drinks and our much needed massage therapist!

Our customers deserve a tremendous thanks! Many of them show up every week eager to see whatís available from our 38 vendors! We wouldnít be there without your continued support to shop local, practice good community and visit with us each Saturday morning throughout the season!

A grand thanks for all the fabulous musical performers we had gift our Market with danceable sounds to shop to each Saturday! Plus thanks to our storyteller Laura McHenry, of Cortez Public Library, for captivating the young ones!

Deserving immense thanks from all of us at CFM for efforts, time and money, we THANK the City of Cortez, Executive Asst. Dawn McCabe-Lightenburger, and Mark Drudge of CREA for their generous grants, our fiscal agent, the Pinon Project; Kellie Willis, Shauna Pena, and Ian Elder-Cheyne, the Journal, Free Press, KSJD and Mesa TV for advertising, Connie Baber and SuBee Web Services for maintaining our website and keeping it engaging! Connie also gets credit for provoking the CFM managers to plan something FUN for Market! Thanks to Farmers Telephone for providing our local non-profits a booth venue to share their message. Gigantic thanks to Montezuma County Extension Office, especially Kathy Harris, for all they do for us year-round! A HUGE thanks goes to LiveWell, Cooking Matters and CO. Dept of Human Services for supporting, assisting and advising us with our EBT/SNAP issues this season plus all they do to promote the much needed SNAP/Double Up Food Bucks program for CFM! Alan and I want to thank the CFM Standing Committee for their support and advice throughout the year, plus Lee Hill for the same and maintaining the Marketís accounting; Theresa Titone for training and consulting even as she traveled the US! Lastly, but so deserving our devoted Friendís Booth volunteers; Lew Matis, Ann Smith, Carol Dunsworth, Krista Swanson and Pat Norton...we could not do this without all of you!!

We HOPE for you all a celebrated and WET winter and spring and to see all of you again next year!!
